A visit with an old friend

27 Apr
Kevin and I have been friends since the 7th grade. We have been through a lot together. I used to pull him on his skate board with my horse to my house. We don’t get to see each other very often because he lives in Seattle. He comes down to Coachella every year with his friend Eric and this year they came and stayed at my place for a week after the concert.

This is Kevin and I, of course he can never take a serious pic with me. Thats just Kevin.
Kevin and Eric went up to 6 Flags for a day with Eric’s sister and her boyfriend so I decided to take an additional day off and join them.
The weather was perfect for going to 6 Flags. The first ride we went on was X2 and of course we waited 2 hours and when we finally got to the front someone threw up on the ride and it took another 20 minutes to clean it up. But we finally got on the ride and let me tell you, I know exactly why someone would get sick. That is the scariest ride I have ever been on. We were in the front row and on the first drop I thought I was going to die. It was wild! I thought the rest of the day would be shot because that ride messed me up but we went on the other rides and I was good. We had a great time. Im not sure if I can ever go on X2 again but I got season passes so you can bet I will be back.
The next day Kevin and Eric took me for my virgin game of Frisbee golf. They came to CA with the intent to play as many courses as possible and I got to join them for their first time at El Dorado. My first thought was “Well maybe I will like this and it could be a great way to meet guys?”. Little did I know that most of the guys that hang out at the golf course are old retired guys who sit around and smoke weed all day. Oh but I did meet a really cute guy that wouldn’t leave me alone. He was kinda hairy and I think he wanted peanuts from me and not a date, he he.

So we played. Here is Eric putting into the basket.

Here is Kev in a full action shot!

Here is the boys posing with the basket!

I pretty much sucked at this but here is my action!

After burning all those calories playing golf we went to a well deserved lunch at the famous Roscoe’s! This is where every tourist should go. The food rocks and who could not like deep fried chicken and waffles YUMMY!!!!

That night we headed to Angels Stadium for the Angels vs. Mariners game. Little did we know that the Mariners would win!!! We had great seats (thanks Jeff :-)) and saw some awesome fireworks after the game.

And then the weekend came to a close and Kev and Eric went home. I had a great time with them and cherished the time I got to spend with Kevin. Until next year!
